The C-5000 features fully balanced and discrete circuit transmission across all stages of the signal path at Tone Defeat.

The patented floating design is adopted across the phono EQ, input amp and line amp stages — removing the influence of ground noise from the signal.

The folding-book design for the preamplifier PCB mirrors the left and right signal paths for precise matching and layout.

With each channel physically identical, the C-5000 is capable of the most accurate reproduction of audio, which is both wide and deep.

Further, the ground loop is minimized when other components are connected.

Adopting independent, dual toroidal transformers for the left and right channels delivers optimal separation and therefore produces a sound stage which is faithful to the original source.

Low magnetic leakage lowers adverse impact on the audio signal. Following detailed research based on trial listening, the power transformer was enclosed in a copper-plated case to suppress magnetic flux and vibration. This also assists in minimizing the influence of flux in the phono circuit. This realizes an even and spacious sound due to enhanced reproduction of detailed signals.

By copper-plating the chassis to minimize the influence of voltage on the circuit, the C-5000 is capable of expressing the subtlest nuances as well as powerful bass.

Additionally, thick screw-type wires are utilized to reduce the impedance of the power supply and maximize the transmission of musical information.

The C-5000 was designed from the ground up to deliver the ultimate in listening experiences — down to its aesthetic and even its touch.

The knobs and lever switches feature original designs to communicate both innovation and craftsmanship.

The volume knob is both rigid and precise — employing ball-bearings and precision-cut aluminum to achieve its touch while the lever switches have also been refined for enhanced operation.

Every aspect of the C-5000 was carefully considered when designing this flagship model. Its construction exudes master craftsmanship and reflects an obsession with achieving the highest levels of performance.

The feet are no exception. Like the M-5000, the custom heavy-duty brass feet function either as fully supported spikes or with a scratch guard base for use on delicate surfaces.

The QS packs four rooms of audio streaming and eight channels of audiophile-grade amplification into a remarkably slim, 1U-high enclosure, allowing you to fully-optimize your valuable rack real estate.

Multiple QS units can be used together to expand up to 32 zones with simultaneous playback of linked groups up to 20 zones each. In addition, the QS offers four zone pre outs that enable it to be combined with the Yamaha XDA-AMP5400RK, a companion multi-room amplifier, to provide more power or more speaker coverage for large areas in a home. The pre outs may also be used to connect powered subwoofers or subwoofer amps.

As a member of the MusicCast family, the QS integrates seamlessly with Yamaha AV receivers, sound bars and more. Now everything – from a surround sound home theater to a bedroom TV system to in-ceiling speakers in the kitchen – can all work beautifully together.

In addition to supporting external sources through linking with MusicCast receivers and sound bars, the QS offers an Aux input that can be selected for playback in any zone and a Cut-In input that automatically senses an input signal and temporarily overrides the selected source. This gives you flexibility to integrate media players, CD changers or even paging systems. Thru-Outs let you set up a bus to additional QS units.

The Chime contact closure inputs let you generate a doorbell chime or, for example, an alert for a gate from a common switch. Output zones and chime sound selection can be configured using the Web Setup.

The XDA-AMP5400RK – the "AMP" – was conceived as a companion to the Yamaha XDA-QS5400RK as a way to provide additional speaker coverage and/or additional speaker output power in a custom integrated multi-room home audio system. It also pairs nicely with Yamaha AV receivers that offer Zone pre outs.

The AMP packs eight channels of audiophile-grade amplification into a remarkably-slim 1U-high enclosure, allowing you to fully optimize your valuable rack real estate.

Feed up to four sources from QS pre outs into the AMP – its four audio I/O buses can be patched together to handle a wide array of speaker/zone configurations. The AMP comes with a set of jumper plugs and cables, making it ultra-versatile right out of the box. The audio outs can alternatively be used to connect powered subwoofers or subwoofer amps.

Each of the four amplifier zones is also bridgeable, giving you the option to increase power output to select speakers if needed.
